Being a teenager isn’t easy especially when you live on a run-down council estate in west London like 15 year old Trife. He isn’t having an easy time; he lives on a mixed income run down council estate in west London and has recently discovered that he has got a young girl pregnant. The whole story focuses on mainly these 2 characters and what is going on around them but other characters are revealed also having their own problems.

Sam, he is the main antagonist of the film, we can see this from what he does and says in this film trailer. He is older than many of the other characters and is a big bully, he bully’s anyone who does something to annoy or upset him, and he also has a very foul mouth. The film trailer is only 2 minutes long but we see Sam hit, pinch, and kick and hit a few people, also many of the words. You really don’t want to get on the wrong side of same.

Alisa, she is 15, a good girl deep down but she mixed with the wrong type of people and she made some mistakes. Alisa is pregnant. When she tells Trevor, the father he takes it badly and at one point he does not believe that the baby is his as Sam is claiming he also slept with Alisa although later we find out that this is false. We can see that Alisa mixed with the wrong people as we see her and other girls her own age snorting coke. At one point in the film we begin to think that is Becky actually a friend or not. We see Alisa not well and Becky is not helping, she is being very nasty towards Alisa.  

In this film trailer the music at the beginning is the sort of music you would hear at a party, also in the first few seconds you hear a young women screaming, like she is scared of something she has just seen.  The sound effects would be non-diegetic as the characters would be unable to hear the music and the screaming. The sound relates to each other, often at parties there are people screaming as they are having fun or if the party gets out of control. The sound fits into this film trailer as the music fits the scene and the genre of the music fits the genre of the film.

The edits from scene to scene are very quick but we can tell that the location has changed especially when it goes from daylight to darkness or inside a house to outside in the street. The transition from most scenes to the next is mostly cut; this would have been used as it is quick and simple, something that is needed for a film trailer to be affective.

 

The dialogue throughout the whole film trailer is common west London slang, this fits as the film is wholly based around young people on a west London estate. Also there are many bits of dialogue which is swearing, something that is represented with young people and run down housing estates. I believe that there is an element of generalisation in this film. When people think of young people the associate it with run down housing estates, swearing, rudeness, slang and illegal acts.

I believe that this film trailer is affective as the film when it was released was a great success, the success in the film trailer would have influenced whether the film would have been a success or not.

St Trinians 2

This is a 2009 british comedy staring Colin Firth and David Tennant. the target audience is for teenage girls . This film is about a film which is set in a boarding school which many of its students cause trouble and rebel against the rules and adults. We can see that he target audience is for who its for because the film is based wholly around teenage girls, the target audience can relate to many of the characters in the film. Also in this film there is a bit of sexism, many teenage women would want to see people defending women on there behalf even though it is not real. 

the genre and target audience for this film is very clear, the genre is comedy and the target audience is teenage girls aged 12 to 17. we are told this in the film trailer as there are many elements of comedy, some is only light comedy but others they actually make you laugh. the film surrounds the life of teenage girls who rebel, as this is the main characters this will clearly be the target audience.

Rupert Everett played Camilla Firth, the headmistress of St trinians. the character is played very well, you probably wont realise a man is playing the character. this character also stands out because it is a very funny one, many of his/her lines are funny but also very cheeky and well thought out. 

Down Low Up Close. this film is about a 17 year old young man who has just been released from a young offenders institute, he made some big mistakes in his past and he is now determined to turn his life around but not much has changed since he has been away from home. Darryl severed 8 months for 2 cases of GBH and was let out early for good behaviour, he knows he did wrong and he is determined to change for the better. darryl really hoped that while he was away from home it would change but it is no different. when the people around him are just falling apart how can he change, it would be hard anyway but with very little support will Darryl be able to cope?

this film would fall into a drama as it includes real life situations, intense characters and mature and sensitive content which maybe not suitable for younger audiences. this film would more than likely given a 15 certificate rating because of the content and what could develop throughout the film. the target audiance will be teenage boys and girls aged 15 to 21. people in the age group will want to watch it because it inludes characters from there age group. a small number of people could relate to the films

Tv Crime Drama

My Pitch: A small, quiet town in liverpool which 25 years ago which lost 20 young people at the hands of a serial killer. A team of retired officers along side a DCI and forensics reinvestigate. When the murders begin to happen again, the same people and the same way, the team are troubled is the killer back at large or is this a copy cat killer?!

This programme will be called 'Down Apart'. It is based in a small fictional village in liverpool- Brussellette but is actually filmed in Rain-hill. It will be aired on Mondays for 1 hour at 2100 due to the violent content and sexual references included, it will be a production of BBC, they will have this for a trial period of 8 weeks during the summer months and if it is to be successful it will rotate round with Prisoners Wives and Whitechapel each at a period of 4 weeks as they all have the same content which can only be shown after the watershed and is inappropriate for young children to view. If this programme was any longer or shorter than 1 hour people wont watch as they wont wait to see then end and if it was any longer or shorter the whole of the tv scheduling for this time of day will be all messed up.

The target audience will be aged 16 to 30. This is because younger people have school the next day and need more sleep to a young person in college and they often start later on in the day. Older people wont watch it when it will be aired as many of them have young children and get tired due to looking after children. This programme may be watched by younger or older people at a later date on repeat on weekends or when they have free time. The target audiance will be drawn into the show by the escapism          
of real life things going on in there lives, they will be able to watch this show without thinking of all the issues in there lives. This show will be personal relationships and personal identity.

In my crime drama I will have: Villains, criminals, against the side of justice (antagonist), police officer, hero, on the side of justice (protagonist), victim, suspect, inspectors, detectives, sergeants, medical team, forensics and family and friends of the victims, suspects and police officers. The iconography in my TV  crime drama will be, police cars, weapons, graveyards, police cells, police vans and interrogation or questioning room. My characters will be wearing clothes that will be appropriate for there role in the TV crime drama. The police officers who are involved in catching the criminal will be in very formal clothes, the men will be wearing suits and ties were the women will be wearing longs trousers, blouse and a blazer. The forensic scientists will be wearing those blue coats and a cap when investigating evidence and when they are not the will be wearing formal casualty clothes. The criminals will be wearing scruffy casual clothes that are very tatty, they will look like they don't really care about what they look like and there appearance. The families of the criminals and police officers if and when they will be seen they will be wearing formal casualty clothes depending on when they are seen, what they are doing and how old they are and what gender they are.
